Escalator Coming Soon to Taipei Campus!

The first escalator connecting Zhongshan North Road and the main academic area—located along the central stairway—is set to begin construction in the second half of 2025. Once completed, it will greatly improve accessibility and convenience, becoming the longest campus escalator in Taiwan and a new landmark for a smart and inclusive campus.

The project will also feature a solar-powered canopy, providing both shade and rain protection while generating green energy. In the future, the university plans to continue assessing vertical access routes between academic buildings, aiming to add more escalators and integrate them with existing elevators and shuttle systems—moving steadily toward a stair-free campus.
