A seminar titled ‘Snow Dreams in a Tropical Island Nation: A Brief Discussion on Taiwan’s Ski Tourism’ was successfully concluded at the Taoyuan Campus on December 12, 2025. The event was hosted by our College and featured Manager Yang Tzu-Hsuan from Narwana Travel Agency as the main speaker. Over a hundred faculty members and students attended, jointly discussing the development and challenges facing Taiwan’s skiing market.
In the lecture, Manager Yang first explored the growing trend of citizens in Taiwan—a tropical island nation—participating in overseas skiing, emphasizing the significant potential of Taiwan’s skiing population and market.
However, Manager Yang also specifically reminded that risk must be carefully assessed, regardless of whether the trip is an instructor-led training group or a self-guided itinerary for participants.
This lecture not only conveyed the passion and knowledge of ski tourism but, more importantly, reinforced the participants’ emphasis on risk management and safety through professional sharing. We hope that through continuous educational activities, we can promote the development of Taiwan’s skiing industry toward a more professional and safer goal.
